The Water Park

We went to a local water park on Tuesday with Mason and his mom, Laura. For three days the water park had discounts for homeschool families.  Sean started off hesitant about riding the rides but once it warmed up a bit, he rode them all.  I spent most of my time in the lazy river :)

Another Surprise!

Last Friday night, we traveled to East Texas for what I thought was one reason, but it turned out to be a surprise b-day party/baby shower. My friend Cari and my in-laws, Sharon and Bob, hosted a very fun evening.
Sean is quickly gaining in height on Marcia.

Friends eating - the food was fabulous.
I received very pretty things for our baby girl.
I loved the John Denver picture books (bottom right).

I wish we'd taken a group pictures of all the ladies. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone! I thought it was funny that baby Archer's reflector stripes showed up in the picture.

Seriously!?!

I am 40 today...and no, it doesn't seem right.  But, it's all good :) I have a very active baby girl bouncing and kicking within, I had breakfast made by a 7 year old, ate lunch with my husband and son at a great Mexican food restaurant (the waiters surprised me by putting a sombrero on my head and singing Happy Birthday in Spanish along with bringing out a praline -yum), and tonight I'm going out with the girls.

Last weekend, we went to my hometown for a surprise b-day party/baby shower.

My cousin Bilinda and sister Emily came to town.

All my aunts and uncles came including my Aunt Kathy from Mississippi.
Garry, my childhood friend and tormenter, was there as well.

My Uncle Greg and me (any resemblance?)
Pink and brown gifts, hair bows, ruffles :)

Six Flags Homeschool Day

This is how we spent our Thursday!
We enjoyed the day with friends.  Everyone had so much fun.
What does a pregnant lady do at Six Flags - takes pictures, becomes acquainted with benches located by fans, knows the location of all the restrooms, and finds the
best place to stand at water rides to get splashed :)

Mason and Sean rode the Sidewinder several times.
No hands!  Lee may have this same look on his face
in 7 or 8 years when Sean starts to drive.
Anticipation - first time on the Gunslinger

Jayce, Sean, Breck, and Mason
Mason, Glen, Laura, and Maddie
Laura and Sean on Crazy Legs - one of Sean's favorites

Our family - plus the only ride I was allowed on...
the merry-go-round.
And, yes, I rode one that went up and down.

From the Weekend

And another one down...Sean lost his first top tooth.  He was thrilled.
Lee painted the baby room a dark brown.  I'm awaiting bedskirts :)
I painted furniture white.  Lee said "You did a great job...I'm impressed."  Never have these words been spoken about my painting abilities.  He didn't comment on the amount of paint on the floor of the garage (with drop cloths) or the amount on my skin.
It is still a work in progress, but we are enjoying the project.

For the Hunter

Check out our friend Rob's post today.  The video of Matt is awesome and inspiring!
