Thoughts for Thursday

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water
will be thirsty again,
but whoever drinks the water I give him
will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give him will become in him
a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

John 4:13-14

Recent Happenings

Sean and Lee have been dove hunting twice this month. This was the first year Sean was able to shoot.  He killed three birds with his first four shots.  They were both very excited about their hunting experiences.

Kate patiently watching a ball at the science museum.

Sean and friends testing out the paper airplane laucher exhibit
at the science mueseum...very cool.

Kate loves to turn on and stand near the air filter in her room....
thought this was a funny picture.

Sean's latest creation...lots of moving parts.

The baby and her baby.  Kate is not walking on her own, but she
does enjoy pushing her stroller around.

Sean's 9th Birthday Party

We celebrated Sean's 9th birthday party on Saturday.
Two birthday parties back to back...crazy!
Light saber training

Destroying the Darth Vader pinata
(Lee put the pinata on the zip line and threw it down to the kids...it was hilarious)

More Jedi training - similar to pin the tail on the donkey

Jedi training requiring them to save princess Kate

Snacks...Yoda Soda was a hit.
We also had Vader Vittles (pizza rolls), Clone Trooper Rolls (corn dog bites), Chewbacca Chow (several chips mixed together), Princess Lea rolls (cinamon rolls), and Skywalker Soda.
We had great ideas from the internet!

Sean preparing to blow out his 9th candle!  I forgot the name of the cupcakes we made, but it was a new kind with white cream that you put in between the layers of batter (tastes like a ding dong).  Yummy!

First Birthday Party

Last night we celebrated Kate's first birthday with a small party.
Sean made her a strawberry cake.
He didn't want a repeat performance of his first birthday cake.

She LOVED it!

Kate and her friend Ella swang and played in the sand.

One of the few family photos with all four of us!

Opening presents...all she wants for Christmas is tissue paper :)

The girls really enjoyed their wagon ride over and over in the yard.
Lee finally took them for a walk in the neighborhood.

Happy Birthday Kate!

Kate turns 1 today!
We looked through our photo album the other night
and couldn't believe how fast the year has flown by.
