Nature Hike

We went on a guided tour at the nature center today.  The weather was gorgeous.  Our group learned about Indians and how they hunted and survived.

One More Post About Butterflies

I haven't quite figured out how to link to a video clip so hear is the website www.thedoorpost.com for The Butterfly Circus. It is a beautifully filmed 20 minute movie that is worth watching. My favorite line in the movie - "The greater the struggle, the more glory in the triumph". Enjoy!

It's Starting to Be a Blur

Here are some final pictures from our trip to Walt Disney World.

These were taken last weekend. Lee was in meetings until 5:00 everyday but one of our trip so thankfully he was able to enjoy the evenings with us at the parks.Sean posing for a pic in Dinoland at Animal Kingdom. He would have spent his entire time in the Boneyard - an oversized playground area. We were able to see the Lion King musical, take a safari, enjoy some rides, and meet Goofy, Donald and Chip and Dale.
We went to the Magic Kingdom on our last day. I finally convinced Sean to ride Splash Mountain with me - even with the 50 foot drop - and he loved it. So we rode it twice.

Day 4

I think Epcot was my favorite place. Sean had a passport book that we took around to the different countries in Epcot. Each country wrote him a note in their language and stamped his book. We also sampled some food from the different countries.Sean liked to try on the different hats in Mexico.

In the imagination area, the instruments lit up and made music when they were stepped on. They also had corresponding pictures on the wall.

Day 3

On Day 3, we went to Disney's MGM studios.

Below is a picture of the room we waited in for the Toy Story ride. It was so creative.

This is simply for your entertainment. Lee thought I'd enjoy the Rock-n-Roller coaster. He took a picture of the picture that is taken during the ride. Can you hear me screaming? I actually did like it, but it sure was fast. I then rode the Tower of Terror because my friend Christina said it was fun. I was ready to go after that one - the name should have been a clue for me ;)

Thoughts for Thursday

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

(Above the theme parks at Walt Disney World we saw a skywriter on two different days write several different messages - the above was "Praise Jesus". We also saw his work two years ago. We were trying to guess how many people he reaches with his talent - millions, I'm sure.)

Day 2

On Day 2, Sean and I went to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. The wave pool is awesome. One giant wave comes every few minutes and by the time it made it to where we were, Sean would body surf. We rode several slides, raft rides, and the lazy river. We ate lunch with a family from Wales. I love that you can meet people from all over the world in one place. He did this over and over.

This was not an exaggeration.
My right arm was a good deal longer than my left by the time we left the wave pool.

We didn't snorkel but we did watch from the bridge and

were able to spot and take pictures of some pretty fish and sting rays.

We were thankful for the warm, beautiful day.

The week before the forecast for this day was rain.

Day 1

Yesterday we returned home from a week at Walt Disney World. Our first afternoon in Florida was spent at Downtown Disney. We ate at a new restaurant, T-Rex, which is a dinosaur version of the Rainforest Cafe, and browsed through Legoland and Disney stores.
