From the Weekend

On Friday, we traveled with Lee on a work/play weekend.
We headed South to San Antonio and made a last minute detour to Pedernalles Falls State Park.
The hike was short and the water was extremely low, but it was incredibly beautiful.
Bonding

Kate held onto this rice cake the entire time we were there.

Kate and I hung out under this shade tree while Lee and Sean went and explored the area.
She enjoyed the rocks, sticks, and woodpeckers in the tree.

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles

Kate was so excited for Sean to blow bubbles.
She is close to using the sign for "more".

What a Mess!

Lee has been gone this week.
Sean has been sick a majority of the week.
And Kate, well, has just been Kate :)

From the Weekend

Sean and Mason enjoyed their time at Lego camp last week.
I think this is their rendition of a zip line.
I do believe each boy had a different lego shirt to wear each day.

Octopus man made an appearance at our family evening swim.
We had a work picnic on Friday, friends over to swim on Saturday, another campout for Sean Saturday night, church today, and a sick boy tonight.  Too much fun I suppose.

Not sure who is going to change the next diaper!

If You Build It...

Last week, Sean and Mason wanted to camp out in the backyard.  They have made other attempts in the past where Lee has done all the work in setting things up only to have them come inside a few hours later for one reason or another.  This time he tossed them the tent and said if you can put the tent up, then you may sleep in it.

Well, they built it and slept in it all night...
barking dogs, train whistles, cicadas, and all.

Thoughts for Thursday

Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.

From the Weekend

Well, he did it.  On Friday, Sean found a baby rabbit in our yard and he caught it.

He made a box for the rabbit to protect it from our dog.
(Mama rabbit may have been part of an earlier post regarding a chase.)
While we were gone Friday evening, he hopped away safe and sound.

We had a garage sale on Saturday and nothing went back in our garage...woo-hoo.
Hopefully that was our last one - ever! And, yes, a vehicle can now be parked in our garage in case of another storm.  Sean made art all week to sell along with coffee, tea, and lemonde.  He lasted all of two hours before he decided he'd rather spend the day with a friend.

My mother wanted to know if Kate was pulling up :)
