Thoughts for Thursday

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.

Everything is uncovered and laid bare

before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Early Celebration

We celebrated Kate's 3rd birthday last weekend

Decorating cupcakes

Kate was the only kid not to put the decorations on her cupcake.  She put them all on the side and ate them separately.

Summer Shots

I cannot believe August is rapidly approaching!
We have enjoyed the summer and are not ready for it to end
Kate's first singing performance at the VBS finale...not sure how many words actually came out.
Sean's first time to mow a lawn - excellent experience.

Sean at VBS

Kate has loved swimming this summer.  She said goodbye to the floaties a couple of weeks ago.

The Vacation

We spent last week in Branson, Missouri on a family vacation with Poppy.  Kate talked about the "vacation" for two months prior to the trip and is now talking about when can we go again.
A family photo!

Sean, Kate, and I each were able to drive the duck on the water.

Kate was fearless about riding rides at Silver Dollar City. Lee was a good sport on the frogs.

This picture makes me laugh. Poppy and I are not big fans of rides.

From the Weekend

Off to the egg hunt at church...

finding eggs mixed with a little poison ivy so Sean broke out that afternoon.
He almost stepped on a snake later in the day while fishing so
he's taking a little break from the great outdoors :)

 Early Sunday morning
I told her that we were going to celebrate Jesus and
she started singing "Happy Birthday, Jesus" from Christmas.
Pretty sunrise

The egg hider was a bit creative this year.

Kate did not want to wear a dress so her face is a bit splotchy.
When she saw all the splotches, she stopped crying.

After church, Kate was finally okay with the dress.
