Eleven Years!

Lee and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary yesterday.
Each year we have gone somewhere to celebrate...
sometimes far away and sometimes down the road.
I'm thankful for the journey we have been on together.

A Beautiful Day

Sean was baptized this morning.
It was beautiful -
I imagined the angels in heaven were rejoicing!

Spring Means Soccer

The Warriors are back at it and so we find ourselves
spending Saturdays at the soccer fields. This picture made me laugh...Sean made it in the goal.
Three kids are on the ground.

Granna and Grandpa came to town.

Moms Say the Darndest Things

I often write down funny or cute things Sean has said in a notebook, but I've decided I need to start recording some of the orders that come out of my mouth to the children that come visit my home. For example, recently I was on the phone and had to put someone on hold while I yelled out the backdoor "Take the handcuffs off Madison and PUT DOWN those swords!"

Thoughts for Thursday

If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God,
who gives generously to all without finding fault,
and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt,
because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea,
blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:5-6

Saturday Outing

Sean took his buddy to the deer lease on Saturday. There was plenty of hiking,

fishing,

rock building,
BB shooting, and mud stomping.
We are still finding traces of the mud stomping today.
We also spotted at least fifty turkeys, several deer, and an armadillo.

Thoughts for Thursday

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where moth and rust do not destroy,
and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:19-21)

Zoo Day

Yesterday was homeschool day at the zoo.
We met up with some other families and made a full day of it.
There were several speakers who showed us different animals. Sean's friend Lindsey's favorite talk was on the horses.
Sean's favorite was watching the sharks in the Great Barrier Reef being fed.
Some of Sean's new friends.

I thought he resembled a certain D*sn*y character from last summer.

Botanical Gardens

The botanical gardens in our area are free and
such a fun place to visit.
This leaf was so long! "Mom, I look like a fairy."

Our favorite place in the gardens is the boardwalk....very interactive.

Science Museum

Last week we went to the science museum for the final trip of our membership. There was an exhibit on the International Space Station that we enjoyed. The new museum will open in the fall and we are looking forward to future trips. Sean spent lots of time creating and playing with these whirly birds
and watching them fly to the ceiling.

The object was to grab the astronaut with the arm and take him back to the space station.

I just liked this wall of used stickers.

Thoughts for Thursday

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven...Ecclesiastes 3:1
