Thoughts for Thursday
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up

Thoughts for Thursday
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
the new has come!
All this is from God...
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
(Our second butterfly emerged yesterday evening on Sean's birthday. The top cocoon was found on our passion vine. Again, we were able to watch the different stages as the caterpillar
made the cocoon. To see the outer wings, scroll down to the Waiting Game post.)

We Have Lift Off!
Our first butterfly emerged today as we were walking out the door for an event. It was pretty spectacular. As we were leaving, Sean ran back and whispered to the butterfly "May the force be with you. Good-bye and Good Luck." As we were getting in the truck he said "God wasn't finished with him yet."
When we returned home, I let the butterfly step onto my hand and then it crawled up my arm and Sean was able to let it climb on him briefly (because it tickled) and then off it flew into the rain. There were a few tears because we let it go but then we grabbed our umbrellas and went and found three more caterpillars.

Waiting Game
We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of a Gulf Fritillary in Sean's bug cage.
One of the caterpillars is at the top of the photo - he has spines and is quite ugly.
We awoke one morning to find the chrysalis - very exciting. We spent the day studying butterflies and using our identification books. Now, we have two chrysalis' (hanging from the top of the cage). Hopefully, by Wednesday, we will have at least one butterfly.
Truly miraculous!

What?
Out of the mouths of babes...Sean said today "Mom, what's 'willowy'?" I said "What?" He repeated. I repeated "What?" And so on...then I asked him to use it in a sentence. He replied "You said I was willowy disobeying you." Aha, willfully. And, yes he was. Now we understand one another - I think ;)
