From the Weekend

We spent the weekend in East Texas and celebrated

an early Christmas with Nana and Poppy.

We were also able to spend time with friends.

Kate was thrilled to receive a coat hanger :)

Advent 2011

Our family has been following along with my friend Cari's blog on the "JOYs of Anticipation".  Sean can barely contain himself until evening when we light the candle and go through each step. 

Last Week

A neighbor kid came by yesterday and said "Can we play in the box?"  I just thought that was a funny question.  For a week we have had an ATM box in our garage.  We happened to be at the bank when they were replacing the old ATM and the empty giant box was able to come home with us.  Sean and I had a time trying to remove it from the truck. 

My Mom and Glen spent last week with us. 

We made a visit to the Science Museum to see the George Washington exhibit - really worth seeing!

Wrapping It Up

Novemember is almost over and the month is starting to be a blur.

Sean killed his first deer...an 8 point buck on Monday, November 21.  Lee dropped the video camera during the event so we have several minutes of footage of the bottom of the deer stand :)

Kate started walking on November 19.  Lee held out a remote control in one hand and the phone in the other.  She took her first step.  We clapped.  Then she walked across the room to Lee....little stinker.

14 Months!

I was on the other side of this door thinking she was playing awesome

with something else and then realized how quiet it was. 

She was having a grand time with the pancake mix.

Sean thought the mix was salvageable...I assured him that it was not.

So close to walking...

very, very close, but she'd rather not :)

End of October

Ooooh, I am behind a bit.

My sister, Emily, came to town and joined us for our Fall Festival.

She brought pirate costumes for us.

Sean was not suppose to be scary but his eyes in the

Star Wars mask were a bit spooky.  Kate was not sure what to think of any of it but she was a precious Snow White.

Basketball has begun.

Soccer has ended.

We visited Beavers Bend State Park in southeastern Oklahoma

over the weekend.  The weather was lovely and we avoided the 7 inches of rain at our house.
