And The Race Is On

Our Awanas Club held their boat race last night.
Sean and the SS Swallow
(It is a frog boat and the frog is eating a fly)

The Race
The object is to blow your boat from one end
to the other as fast as possible - without passing out :)

The New Science Museum

A friend invited Sean and I to the new
Science Museum on Wednesday.
We had such a fun time.  It is National Engineers Week so several
Lockeed Martin engineers were on hand to help with experiments.
Sean spent over an hour with an aerospace engineer building
this wall maze for ping pong balls.
We will definitely make another trip.  We didn't see half of the place.

Belated Valentine's Party

On Tuesday, we went to a homeschool
Valentine's Party at a local gym.
There were at least 70 kids - 20 in Sean's age group.
Sean is dropping from a zip line into a foam pit - super fun!
After the party, we went to the library and soccer practice.
He had no trouble falling asleep :)

Thoughts for Thursday

...with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26

(This is our first sonogram at 9 weeks and all was well.  I'm in my 13th week.  We are taking it one day at a time and giving God the praise for this miracle.  It has been a truly humbling experience.  My next appointment is in a week.)

Snow Day

We reached a record for amount of snowfall.
I think we made it to 7 inches at our house before it was all said and done.

Gracie looks a little lost.

Thoughts for Thursday

He sends His command to the earth;
His word runs swiftly.
He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.

Psalm 147:15-16

Yesterday, the weatherman forecast that we would probably have a snow/rain mixture today but that it wouldn't stick because the ground would not be cold enough.  The pictures above are what we awoke to see in our yard.  Today, schools are closed.  The heaviest has yet to come and we are now under a winter storm warning.  This is a good reminder that God is sovereign over the weather :)

Me and My Shadow

We have sunshine!
I was so excited because it has been a dreary few weeks.
