Baby Cardinal

We recently had a baby Cardinal hit our window and it was stunned.  Sean picked it up and held it until it was ready to fly off.   The same Cardinal has returned to our birdfeeder.

Thoughts for Thursday

I waited patiently for the Lord;

he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,

out of the mud and mire;

he set my feet on a rock

and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth,

a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear

and put their trust in the Lord.

From the Weekend

We released three butterflies from Sean's bug cage that emerged.

We had a small celebration in our backyard with sparklers and such on Saturday.

On the fourth, we celebrated with friends at a military base.  There were games, food, and a fireworks show.  As the evening wore on, I sank lower and lower in my chair :)
