Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas day. My family spent the week with us. Santa brought the legos Sean requested. In addition, he brought light up candy canes for the yard. That's all he asked for last year and since Lee hung them in the attic, they melted straight. Sean said that it was okay because they looked like peppermint sticks. Sean figured that Santa saw the straight ones in the yard and thought that he might need some new ones. Grandpa Glen refinished a lovely desk for Sean.

There were lots of Tim the Toolman grunts out of Lee.

I bought 3 costumes after the Halloween craze and paid a dollar for each new costume - a firefighter, a knight, and superman. We added them to our collection of make believe.

We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. Sean also sang the song from the radio but he did it a little differently "Happy Birthday Jesus. I'm so glad it's Christmas. All the presents are nice but the real gift is you." Very sweet and very true!

So, does Jesus get the standard, all natural, no sugar, carrot/applesauce, sugarless cream cheese frosted cake for HIS birthday just like Sean??? You have to post that video on the blog! Seriously, I LOVE your balanced approach to the holidays. "Honor God and have a ball!"
